Established in 2005, Cell Engineering provides engineering services across the Oil and Gas, Minerals and Metals (Coal, Gold, Iron Ore, Aluminium, Magnesium etc), Power and Water Utilities, Commercial, Defence & Military, and Renewable industries across Australia.
With multiple office locations and 50+ team members, we pride ourselves on providing local support within the areas we operate; to provide true ‘on the ground’ knowledge and experience. As a result, we have built a strong framework of industry standards and protocols that have positioned us as a preferred supplier for major multinational companies including Anglo-American, BMA, Rio Tinto, Glencore, and the Australian Government.

Troy Gallate
MEngPrac, BTech (Elec), MIEAust, CPEng, RPEQ
Troy Gallate is a Registered Chartered Engineer with over 25 years of experience working at and around coal mines and heavy industry. Troy completed an apprenticeship as an Electrical Fitter Mechanic before completing a degree in Electrical Engineering, so has both the practical knowledge and technical ability to service the industrial and mining sectors.
Through his experience in heavy industry, he has gained specialised skills in site power system design and electrical audits and is particularly well-experienced in AS3000 wiring rules, coal mine health & safety regulations, workplace health & safety regulations, and hazardous areas.
Justin Trott
BEng (Elec), MIEAust
Justin Trott is a professional Electrical and Controls Engineer with over 20 years of experience. Justin is thoroughly versed in all aspects of mining and industrial electrical and process control systems. Justin is Cell Engineering’s Senior Engineer and is responsible for ensuring new designs are complementary to Cell’s corporate goals.
His role includes interacting with client project management and vendors for tender, purchasing of equipment for electrical and control system designs and ensuring that contracts are managed and met according to safety requirements and design specifications.
Nathan Ting
MBA, BEng (Elec), MIEAust, CPEng, RPEQ
Nathan Ting is a Chartered Professional Electrical Engineer with over ten years’ experience in heavy industries. He is responsible for business and engineering activities in the Northern Territory region.
Nathan has completed numerous projects in various sectors, including mining, defence, utilities, remote communities, generation and oil and gas. He has a strong understanding of power systems, including AC and DC arc flash, earthing, protection, lightning, hazardous area, low voltage and high voltage systems.
Mark Poole
BEng (Elec), MIEAust
Mark Poole is a Senior Engineer with over 15 years of experience working in the Northern Territory. Mark is responsible for business and engineering activities in the Northern Territory region.
He has extensive experience with power systems, transmission and distribution systems, hazardous areas, lighting, High Voltage (HV), and Low Voltage (LV) systems.
Adam Rossow
BEng (Mecht), MIEAust
Adam Rossow is a dedicated Principal Engineer with over 25 years of experience in the engineering sphere and is responsible for the business and engineering activities in the Gladstone region. He has maintained a focus on continuous improvement and process safety across a diverse range of industries and projects stretching across both Australia and overseas.
Adam has managed work from project tendering and inception, through completion and maintenance. He has implemented and improved numerous systems through better management, centered on a data-driven approach.
Adam is well-versed in engineering design, process control, automation, and commissioning, having designed, reviewed, and delivered numerous projects under his management.
Daniel Wood
MCSE, CCNA, MCDBA, NT2E
Daniel Wood is an experienced Information (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) specialist with senior leadership & management experience across multi-disciplinary ICT systems. He has had extensive exposure with projects in mining, defence, physical & cyber security, education, and industrial sectors.
When requested, he has also been called upon to provide legal expert testimony and analysis. Daniel is currently based at our Mackay branch, and regularly assists both in-house and remote clients with numerous innovations and technical solutions nationwide.
