PROJECT: Verification of Earth grid design via injection testing for step and touch measurement
Existing earth grids on site required testing to ensure step and touch potentials were controlled under fault conditions and to ensure earth grid reliability for expected fault currents.
We were approached to document the existing systems design and injection test each system to determine step and touch limits. We supplied equipment and labour to complete the tasks and coordinate activities with the mine.
We used our own internal off-frequency injection test unit to complete the tasks. We have units located in Darwin and Mackay.
