PROJECT: Substation MCC and Field Equipment Upgrades
We provided the electrical designs for the electrical infrastructure associated with the Substation 4 upgrade in 2020. The designs included electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, MCC panels, general arrangements, and earthing designs. We completed the factory and site acceptance testing of the electrical equipment.
We also provided engineering services as part of the commissioning team. The design included the supply of 26 existing loads and two new main incomers with a bus tie arrangement between the MCCs. Seven conveyor systems were also upgraded to a 24vdc control system with improved PLC feedback for pull wire systems and E-stop systems. Our project team managed the whole shutdown including scheduling, commissioning, and change management.
