PROJECT: Ship loader and site upgrade to reduce bottlenecking - PLC and SCADA upgrades and management

This site has embarked on several significant projects to improve productivity and de-bottleneck the processes. We were engaged to assist site personnel with the modification and re-design of existing site PLC and SCADA code with all aspects of this project.

Some typical tasks include:

  • Modification of ship loader functionality for improved productivity.
  • Alarm system review and modification to reduce and simplify alarm status and trips.
  • PLC communication upgrade including networking with multiple mining companies supplying products.
  • A variety of PLCs are used including GE, Allen Bradley, and Schneider Modicon.
    Citect SCADA modifications were completed.
