PROJECT: Meadowbrook Underground mine – Bowen Basin, QLD

We were engaged by Jellinbah to perform a detailed protection scheme design for Meadowbrook 66/11kV outdoor Main Substation.

We were responsible for the following:

  • Equipment sizing and calculations.
  • Earthing and lightning protection design.
  • Detailed protection & metering.
  • Single Line Diagram (SLD) design.
  • Protection settings calculations to comply with Energy Queensland’s requirements. This included distance, line/transformer/bus-zone differentials, inter-tripping and interlocking schemes. Cell worked closely with Jellinbah and Energy Queensland to deliver the project.
  • Cell was also involved in providing all equipment technical specifications, and datasheets for the 66kV Overhead line design and 66/11kV.
  • Main substations tender packages.
  • Site power system analysis for the underground mine and electrical infrastructure.
